Gimme Gimme Gimme

Anybody else sick of hearing this yet? What are you doing to curb the gimme's at your house?

yeah I'll be checking back in to see if you get any good advice on this one since my stink eye and "yeah well I want a million bucks and that aint happening" response is not going over very maturely...

lol, Jessie. I say pretty much that same thing. "Oh, really? Well, there's lots of things I'd like to have too, but we don't always get what we want."

I only hear this from my own wallet.

My dilemma is how keep Christmas small while still staying true to the idea that Santa is jolly and wonderful.
Especially since St. Nic is a little more generous to the neighbors.
We've convinced the boys to only ask for one big item from Santa, but how do you explain the heaps O' gifts he leaves to their friends? Any ideas?

"I guess Santa ran out of those before he got here, sorry buddy." Is that too cold hearted? Gabe is asking for a nintendo DS...he's not getting one. But I know that Santa is bringing one to a cousin, so I'm glad you brought that up so I can think about how I'll handle that.

I just told my kids that if they keep saying "gimme, gimme, gimme" or "i want, I want, I want"they aren't going to get anything, cause I till tell Santa not to bring them anything and the ones we got for them will go to someone else we know who could really appreciate it!! It might be a little harsh but it seems to be working. ;P
