Tis the Season

Since we're all about the spooky things in life, I suppose I may have brought this on myself, but the nightmares this month...I'm done.

Every morning I am waking up exhausted from having been fired by bosses I had 10 years ago, arguing with family members, discovering I was about to become a grandparent before 40, being attacked by snakes, haunted by 40 gallon barrel's of potato pearls, etc.

The bags under my eyes are not pretty.  I have never been so tempted to take the kids to school still wearing my pajamas.  A donut sounds really good.

We all tend to scare ourselves way too easily. But as with any haunted house, we can emerge knowing that we are still OK and can look back on those scary times and laugh.

You should go to school dressed in you pajamas and if anyone asks, just say it's your Halloween costume.

Wow, that does not sound pleasant. Are you taking something to help you sleep?

Do you have your food storage ready? Is that why the potato pearls are haunting you? Go for that donut, I say.

In my dream the 40 gallon barrels (2 of them) of potato pearls were a gift and I remember thinking "what the heck am I supposed to do with these? We don't even like potatoes." My theory is that we have been given blessings in abundance of the sort that are practical, and that I'm having a hard time recognizing them as blessings, or knowing what to do with the blessings once I figure out that they are still a gift, even if not the ones I would pick for myself.

I like CaJoh's idea, that's about the easiest Halloween costume ever! And nope, not taking anything to help me sleep. I have taken Advil PM in the past, and it knocked me out for 14 hours...not good for a school morning.

Try 1/2 tablet of an Equate brand Night time headache aid (same thing as Tylenol PM but for me, better!) I took one last night at 10:30 after tossing and turning for a while and woke up at 7:00 no problem, before my alarm went off. It really helps you sleep quicker and deeper, and a half is not too bad if you can't afford to sleep in.

For me, I'd rather fight grogginess in the morning than irritabilty and exhaustion all day, so I take even full tablets when I feel sleep exhaustion coming on!

40 gallon barrel's of potato pearls? You may be haunted but you certainly are original.
