Time to Declutter, Again.

Last week we got the call we'd been waiting on, to find out whether we'd be able to stay in the house we've been renting for the last year, or be looking for a different home.

We'll be looking for a different home.

I'm not exactly looking forward to the prospect of moving, but there are some things I'm looking forward too.

For one, I really do need to "declutter", and this is the perfect reason to hit it hard.
Secondly, there have been some things going on in our neighborhood that make me feel uncomfortable.  Namely, 20 something pit-bull owners who have people in and out of their home all night long.  I suspect they may be "cooking"...but I don't have any proof of that.  The property values in this neighborhood have gone down by nearly 60% and I think people are buying these houses and renting them out to whoever will pay without regard to what they're doing to the neighborhood.

On the other hand, I've made some nice friends in the nieghborhood, and I hate to leave them.  (Not that we're going very far away).

So today I get to go out and look at a handfull of homes.  I hope it will become obvious to us which one to chose.  But these things are never as simple as they seem.  In the meantime, I guess I'll take 5 minutes and find several things to purge.

I want to say I'm sorry, but it sounds like the neighborhood is getting a little.... fishy? So, instead I'll say good luck and I hope you get some amazing spring cleaning and cleaning out done!

Yikes! I'm sure you just mean cooking kimchi, right?

Good luck with the move!

Decluttering is always a good thing. Moving not so much. I hope that you find the perfect house for your family--and I hope that you find it sooner rather than later!! Good luck!!

Well, good luck. Moving is no fun, but if you can feel some sense of accomplishment in purging, hopefully it will not be SO horrible. Hope you find a good house soon! xo

I hate moving! But if you can go to a safer neighborhood for your kids it'll be worth it, I think. Good luck with the de-junking! :)

I used to home shop as a form of dating with my wife. We love to look at homes even though we are no where near the point of getting one.

Good luck finding a new place.

I hate moving, but you're right, the one good thing about it is being able to organize and downsize. That always feels good.

Good luck!

Um...since I will sorely miss you this isn't my favorite post. Hopefully you find something close enough to stay in the ward...but I do understand. If my neighbors where cooking like that...I'd be out too. NOW If I was your neighbor...it would be cooking of a totally different sort! Want to look up here by us?!

Decluttering is good. Moving can be a pain. I hope that the new neighborhood you find will be just as great as the one you are in!

Good luck with the move. Scary about the neighbors. I hope you find a great new place with wonderful neighbors.

I was just going to type the exact same sentence Jillene typed about decluttering. So it sounds like I have nothing new to say.

Good luck anyway!
