Bloggernapple Chorus and duhduh

DuhDuh...(law and order gavel sound)did you guys watch L&O last night? What'd you think about the G's being portrayed? I haven't decided how I feel about it yet. I'm curious to see what you all have to say.

Secondly, if you thought that Obadiah Parker made Hey Yah sound beautiful, if not sad...look at the video below to be thoroughly depressed.

If you've never heard Obadiah Parker's version, go listen to it right now!

Is this the polygamy one? I don't watch L&O. They showed Gs? Polygamists don't wear some weird version of Gs, do they?

I'm a total L&O junkie but missed it cuz I've been furiously painting my daughter's bedroom! ugh, now you've got my curiosity peeked! Gotta check it out. THanks.

Don't watch L&O. Sorry. Little surprises/offends me anymore about the way people portray sacred aspects of our religion. There are much worse things out there than garment portrayals. I figure In the end it'll their problem, not mine, and I ignore it if I can.

I loved that Obadiah Parker cover. Hadn't heard it. Wish I could hear the Sr Choir, but I'm being blocked :P

wv= "friad:" like a triad, but with four.

Hi! I wandered onto your site via another site that I'd wandered onto via a link they had on their blog...in a nutshell, Don't know how I got here, but glad I did! As for the L&O thing, I haven't watched since Jessie L. MMmmmartin left, but I caught this one while doing laundry. I was actually very happy with the way they portrayed the LDS church...they kept saying, "Mormons don't do THAT" and "These guys left the Mormon church...they're a splinter group!" They kinda defended us. As for the Gs, there was nothing on there that A)you couldn't find on the internet or B)my non-LDS friends would know from seeing my mom carry a load of laundry from one room to another when I was growing-up. They didn't discuss the sacred meanings, and the ones they showed were from the Fundamentalist group being portrayed on the show, not actual LDS ones. All in all, I didn't think it was bad.

OK, saw the episode. And I agree with Thorny Tree Lady. They didn't really show our garments. They were t-shirts with some of the symbols drawn on them.

And they did do a very good job as separating mainstream Mormons from Fundamentalists. Interesting episode.
