Stripper Pole Sunday

Its Sunday, and I can't wait to get to church and see the parade of denim or khaki ankle length skirts accompanied by stripper shoes. Its great.

disclaimer: I will admit, MY ward is not really following this trend, we are much too hip and fashionable, or is it sensible?

Wow, I haven't seen this one. However, I do see a lot of super short dresses or skirts with leggings, which is almost like wearing pants, right?

Or go-go boots with a nice skirt suit.

I fast and pray for Stacey and Clinton to come to my ward, every Sunday.

The girls in my ward are too busy wearing nasty, dirty flip flops with their denium skirts. I guess the informality of the dirty flip flops kind of goes with the High School Musical hoodie jackets they wear.
I haven't yet seen stripper shoes. I'll be on the lookout!

haha. I love high heels but I don't wear THOSE shoes. Maybe I'll post a picture of the shoes I like to wear and find out if they are considered stripper shoes.

Although, I do not own a jean or khaki skirt. I do have a corduroy one! haha.

I don't see crazies(in dress-mind is another matter) in my ward.. just the old mom shoes. I vow to always have cute shoes. I think I might have the highest heels, though. :) (I'm not even 5'4" so I like them!)

Hmmm, this Baptist girl just doesn't get it. Not the skirts, not the wards, nothing.

oh, ward is just a term for "congregation"...we are split up by geographic area and assigned a congregation...otherwise known as a "ward". Much like you baptist gals, we like to be modest in our dress, thus the preponderance of ankle length skirts. I just find it highly amusing when they are paired up with stripper shoes...its such a disconnect!

Wow--I think I should get me a pair of these babys!

We don't have any of them in our ward but Brittany--I have seen the dirty flip flops--classy! I LOVE my flip flops but THEY ARE NOT FOR CHURCH!!

I'm laughing at the flip flops because I have a nice leather pair that I wore today because I had blisters on my pinky toes. LOL.

And basically every other pair of church shoes I own would rub on them.

Yes, I have noticed this same thing. Up in the mountains, we saw lots of sandals, flats, etc. 2" pumps were pretty daring.

Move to Boise, and no one wears nylons (except me) and everyone has these strappy stilettos on. Even my sis-in-law, who's already like 5'9". But they don't just wear them with long skirts. Shorter, knee-length ones, too.

now see, they don't bother me much when paired with an appropriate outfit ( unless they really are stripper shoes like these pink ones, then there is just no proper place for them except one of those places like the gal in my post about not being able to find a nice guy to marry works) its the long denim or khaki which is so casual and doesn't really EVER look sexy paired with the ultra sexy to the point of being innappropriate shoe that just kills me. I mean, we gotta express ourselves some way, and what better way than through shoes, but, the shoes gotta match the outfit!

Hey, how did you get a picture of my shoes?
