Can Anybody Answer These Questions for Me?

Why is "Wookiepedia" on this 'puter's shortcuts?

Why do the men in my life think I want to discuss facts about General Grievous and Count Dooku?
Why do I get drawn in to these discussions as if these were real people and we are discussing historic events?

And lastly...why do I have so much trouble embracing my inner nerd?

Lisa

P.S. Even more importantly, why in 30 years have I never apologized to my sister for making her be Chewbaca every time we played Star Wars in the Neighborhood?

Stopping by from Little Fish to wish you a happy belated birthday.

Embrace your inner nerd. From what I hear it's the "In" thing. Oh— even though I'm a guy I will not talk about Count Dooku… just never was a topic of my conversations.

But I think they ARE real people, aren't they? Really? That's what I've been telling my kids! oh-oh!

First time visitor and this is great! As the mother of three boys, we are all things Star Wars around here and I can't begin to keep up. Do they ever finish these discussions?

Mina said it was your birthday and to shout hooray!

Happy Birthday!

There's a wookiepedia? Where have I been?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! And I know how you feel. Friday nights at my home we have to watch Star Wars the Clone Wars--my hubby and son are addicted. BLAH!!

I don't know. I am the opposite of a Star Wars addict. I just don't care much about it. :)

Happy Birthday, though!

Is the reason that you haven't apologized to your sister because you aren't sorry that you made her be the wookie?

I think you have nothing to apologize for.

Obviously, you don't know who we named our oldest son after.

We tell people it's for Brian's bff from childhood, a Mr. Ben H. (which is in part, true).

Only a select few know just how nerdy Brian & Ben were (and frankly, STILL ARE!) and that our oldest is also named after Obi-Wan Kenobi.

That's right. Old Ben Kenobi.

Thankyew...

Thank you for the early wishes CaJoh, Chris, Debbie and Motherboard, Jillene, and Lara.
Oh, and BTW, my WV ( why have I not turned that thing off yet?) is Tonon---awfully close to Tonton ( as in shaggy) isn't it? LOL

Lisa, you continue to crack me up. It's so nice to know I can count on you for a pick-me-up nearly daily. By the way, Billy is very impressed with Gabe's lastest achievement.

I laughed at making your sister be Chewbacca. I made my younger brother be a skunk, and then I wouldn't play his snake and gorilla game. That was like, 26 years ago. Does that mean I need to apologize too?

A little bird whispered in my ear that it is your birthday! Happy birthday! I'm all for embracing the inner nerd!

OH NO!!! the birthday post was up there for like 30 seconds when I realized I typed in the 4th instead of the 14, then I typed in the 14th, and it was still there, and so I deleted it. But it must be on people's readers or something. SORRY. It'll be up in the morning--a nice birthday surprise for you.

I have no problem being in tough with my inner nerd, because it's pretty much an outter nerd. I love star wars, but can't get into episodes 1-3. I don't know why.

OH Happy Birthday! ♥

I do not know what the draw of the whole Star Wars deal is with men but it's sure there isn't it?

Sorry to be of no help in the answers to your questions.

I am of no help, I apologize. Except for a hunky Ewan McGregor jedi I have no interest in anything galactical. Sorry.

sounds like Melanie didn't have any Daisy Dukes?
